Welcome back to The World of Glass Exclusives, Etc. Thanks so much to each and everyone of you who has taken the time to stop by and see what we have to offer. Also, I would like to thank those of you who have taken the time to drop us a note and offer ideas on how to improve the site.

We would like to make this site not only a place for you to find very special exclusive items and collections but also to be informative as well. Thus, starting this month we will be including a new Newsletter page. One or two times a month, we will present an in-depth and very informative newsletter on one specific subject. We hope that you will enjoy these items and compile your own notebook of quick and easy-to-find subject reference material. This first Newsletter will describe, in more detail, the newly offered Favrene "Wolf" vases. Future ones will cover all the other collections offered as well as information on items produced by glass companies such as Imperial and Smith, art work, and etc.

Rare Favrene "Wolf" Project

Produced by Fenton Art Glass Company under private contract for Carol's Gallery of Liverpool, New York, the two stunning Cobalt Wolf Vases are a must for the serious Favrene art glass collector.

"The Howling" stands 12" high and features a wolf atop a ridge. A full moon and lone pine tree provide a befitting back drop. "The Frolic" depicts two playful wolves on a large oval vase approximately 8" high.

These Favrene vases are produced from original sketches copyrighted by Paul Mollon, an artist whom Carol Wood, owner of Carol's Gallery, commissioned to design her entire series of Favrene. Each piece also bears Mr. Mollon's signature, the title, and the copyright year of production.

Fenton was engaged nearly three years ago to produce three other Favrene pieces, namely:

  1. Amethyst Favrene, with an eagle and mountains depicting "The Purple Mountain Majesty."
  2. Green Favrene depicting sea-life.
  3. Ruby Favrene depicting a portrait of an Indian Chieftain.

In spite of all the time that has elapsed, Fenton has still not completed the Cobalt "Wolf" project. No prediction can be made as to when the other three series will be available.

Only those pieces which Carol personally rejects as being undesirable, are allowed to be sold in the Fenton Gift Shop with the understanding that all rejects shall be marked with a "STAR".
